Jet Thruster Expansion via Research Images

In an effort to break free of the  typical shape of the rocket/thruster/jet turbine/engine; I tried searching for alternative inspiration. Essentially anything that has fire or flame insinuating thruster like motion.

Further Character Development

I still havent settled on a specific shape or body etc yet, but I am set on the story outline. So I will adapt one or parts of these to make the most suitable creature.

I was mainly looking for elements to apply to my own creature. The wing spread, puffing/blowing up it's chest, bright colours, anything flamboyant.
